Almost Spring Break

At last it is almost time for spring break.

The kids I work with at school are ready and so am I. Not only has this winter been busy, but lots of sickness around the schools. I get germs from Dighton and the Sophie gets germs from Scott. So someone is normally sick in our house. Hopefully over spring break it will give us all some rest and relaxation we so desperately need.

For spring break Sophia and I are flying back to STL to visit Gigi and papa. This will be Sophie's first time flying...and moms first time flying with a baby, so we will see how it goes. Sophie is about the age that she gets to juice, so the doctor recommended that during the flight I put some in a bottle to help distract her from the pressure in her ears. I can't believe that she is already 6 months old. At times it seems that this stage has lasted forever, but I just think I feel that way because of the situation our family is in. Meaning that it is hard for me living so far away from my family. Sometimes I just wish that I could go hang out with my family...especially on the weekends. That is when I miss the family get-to-gethers the most. Hopefully things will change and we will be able to move closer to my family. But having these feelings of isolation also makes me truly appreciate Sophia and I am glad that the Lord as a way with unanswered prayers.

Back to spring break, Sophia and I are starting off the break visiting Abby in Columbia. It is Sigma's family weekend, and we are looking forward to a girls weekend. Plus I love Columbia and eating really good food. I am hoping that during our time in STL we will get to run into some old friends, it is always nice to go home, and have good conversation with great people. Well I will keep you updated and hopefully I will get around to uploading pictures.

Thanks for visiting
-Rach
